I have some file documentation back to the late 1950's thru the 1960's. Previous owner since 1971.
Below is some more information:
For sale is an incredibly original survivor category Aztec Copper with beige interior 1956 Corvette Convertible. The car shows 50k miles on it with some documentation that would seem to support this in my mind. Call me and we can discuss further. You can be the judge. This car was repainted once in 1961 and is a true survivor type of car that can be driven and enjoyed. The rare Aztec Copper Paint is survivor/patina condition that has shines and has typical old corvette look. The car has the hard top that is in very nice condition with good glass /trim/seals and headliner. The beige convertible soft top is very old and needs to be replaced. I have a new soft top that will go with the car. Some chrome has been replaced and shows nicely. The rear bumper chrome is original. The interior is mostly original. Seats, door panels and carpet that are in decent condition. All the gauges work and are original and in good working condition. The Wonderbar radio is original. Everything works including the all the lights, turn signals, and wipers, etc. Under the hood is the correct 265ci V8 engine with all the correct original supporting equipment this car runs great performs flawlessly. Motor has been completely rebuilt by a well know local machine shop in 2010 with about a 1000 miles on it. The factory correct shielding is on the engine with a correct AC Delco Remy Generator. The engine compartment is clean and shows nicely. The car spent its early life in Southern Califorina and Arizona that I have documentation of. The underside of the car is incredibly clean. Frame is a solid clean with no scaling or repairs ever made and is in excellent condition. Mostly bare unpainted fiberglass on the bottom side. Previous owner since 1971 was an NCRS member and traced out much history of the car and maintained a file of documentation. Options on this car include; Rare Aztec Copper Paint scheme, Beige Interior, Shoreline Beige Coves, Beige Convertible Soft Top, 265ci 210hp Engine, Power glide automatic Transmission, Parking Brake Alarm, Wonderbar Radio, and Wide White Wall Tires. This car is a turnkey survivor car that has had all the mechanicals gone thru to make it dependable to show and drive. Please email or call me 402-680-5095 with any questions.
