1964 Coupe 365HP w/ AC RARE and Original
Hi,
Selling my 1964 Satin Silver / Black Vinyl Coupe. 73,800 miles. This is a unrestored original drivetrain L76 (365 HP) with Factory A/C car. Very rare as only 243 coupes were delivered with that combo in 1964. More rare than a Fuelie! This is an unrestored car that has had one top coat repaint in 1985. The body was not block sanded and the original red primer is showing thru in spots, The door jambs and hood drip rail still have the original factory paint. Paint has a few nicks but overall is in excellent condition. Car still has many factory markings visible. The car has all of its original dated glass (including windshield) and body panels. Most everything under the hood is original and unrestored with the exception of hoses and belts. Still some original orange engine paint visible on the exhaust manifolds and french locks. Interior is all original except for the carpet and is in excellent condition. Gauge cluster, console and glove box door are unrestored with excellent patina. In fact this car wreaks with original patina. Frame has no rust and retains much of the original factory black. Some shim marks are still visible as is the frame date and P/N. All weather stripping is original and showing the ugly yellow/brown factory glue. The engine pad is pristine and one of the best original stamps I have ever seen. Engine build date is historic (11-22-63). All other dated components line up perfectly for a car that was delivered in early December 1963. The original radio is out of the car (needs to be rebuilt). I have installed an after market radio (love my oldies). Other than that the only thing the car needs is to have the turn signal cam replaced. I have the parts and will do it or leave it for the new owner. This car was purchased new in California and I have the original black/yellow plates. I have owner history back to new. This is a tight running driving coupe. I have owned the car for 9 years and recently purchased another low mileage original 64 L76 coupe and that is the only reason I am selling this one. Original cars are getting hard to find. Grab this rare car before I change my mind. P.S. the little spots on the hood in the 2nd pic are from glare and are not in the paint. Thanks!

Nice car!
It's probably the pictures but the paint looks a shade or two dark or grayish-charcoal versus the factory silver?
Is it the lighting in the pictures?
Car is a keeper for someone!
GLWS!

It must be the lighting. Picture was taken in late afternoon. The paint in the door jambs is factory Silver and it matches the re-paint perfectly. Look at the last picture with the factory A/C decal in the window and you see Silver paint for sure. Thanks

Terrific car. The L76s are amazing performers.
