1964 Convertible Resto-Mod $50K price lowered
I never thought for a minute that I would be selling my Corvette...well here I am. In the past (7) years I haven't put 1000 miles on it. Probably less actually. Someone needs to drive this beauty. I will give what I think is pertinent info. Someone will want more, just ask.
I have owned this car for 23 years and I know where it was for 20 years prior.
Original Fuel Injection Car. No $$ back then to get it back. It has a .030 over 355 SB out of a 72 chevy pickup. 4 bolt main, forged internals. Sportsman II big valve heads with Isky springs and roller rockers. 10:1 CR but with the Isky 270/280 mega-cam some of the compression is bled off. This engine runs great around town and when stepped on, it screams. Also have installed a NOS Top-Shot system to the 650 DP carb. 3 jets for the system 75/100/150. Rarely used. But great fun on freeway onramps (I never go faster than the speed limit, honest officer).
Close ratio Muncie (later year with the 1" pilot shaft. 3:70 positraction.
Hurst Comp Shifter. Centerforce II clutch, lightweight flywheel. 7 quart Moroso oil pan.
Solid frame with no issues. Rear swing arms have poly bushings. Standard drum brakes. All nuts and bolts R&R'd. Complete suspension rebuild (older restoration).
Solid body, I sanded it down by hand so I know. There were no issues. Original color was Saddle Tan with Saddle Tan vinyl interior. Now it's red with black leather seats.
Custom Auto Sound system with front and rear speakers, 200 watt amp in the tool well. 6 disc CD changer in the glove box.
I have added side pipes (reworked by me) for quieter sound. They are still kinda loud however. In case one needs more noise, I have electric cut-outs installed. (probably not legal in California).
Everything works as it should except that the odometer is inoperative. All gauges work. I have a books of restoration pictures and receipts.
Price $54,900. Car is located in my garage, Tucson Az.

Thanks to all. I'd like to sell this car but am not desperate. It is a great solid car. Drive it anywhere. Have pics and receipts of the build. I've owned it for 24 years and I know where it was for at least 18 years prior. I know that it was used as a drag car for a while even earlier (as most fuel injected Corvettes were). It was a F.I. car and had a 4:11 ratio posi. Now has a 3:73 posi.

Any pictures of the NOS bottle location/installation?

Thanks for your inquiry. The bottle is behind the drivers seat with a hole cut in the cover panel. It sits on the floor under and the tubing (including the pressure relief tube) exits thru one of the drain holes in the floor. I just removed the rubber plug. I rarely use it any longer but it still operates fine.

Just took it out for a 100 mile drive yesterday in 104 degree heat here in Arizona. No overheat at all......the car that is, I thought I was gonna die! Still for sale.
