WTB: 1963 SWC Black on Red
#21
Yes, I'm finding out how rare!
The ones I've run across so far are either restored and priced appropriately (trailer queens, museum pieces); or they are non-original in significant ways (i.e., non-numbers matching, not original "tuxedo black on red", etc.).
My resolve has been tested, but I will persevere!!!

Someone very recently (within the past few days) posted a link to an ad on eBay for a red/red SWC that was originally black over red. Bought right, it could be a route to what you are looking for.
here it is:

Following up!
All - thanks for the leads today! I’m following up on these cars.
rtruman ... I didn’t quite understand your post. Your 63 SWC is for sale now, or you already sold it?

Nice black red swc is going to be a toughie.
Was photo from Bayfield Vettefest show last year. Good looking trio. Outstanding collection collection of C-2's there that day.

Our red on red is the perfect 63 color. If I had a notion to repaint the Daytona blue sister car it would be black with the dark blue interior. That would be unusual. Restomod prices make these original cars seem really cheap.
