I love the Porsche. In process of buying a 993 myself. Unfortunately, I don't have a relevant Corvette to trade you, but wanted to wish you best of luck in your search. I'm sure you realize this already, but the top-money venue for 993's these days is Bring-a-Trailer. Yours looks like it would do very well there.

I had a 911 Targa, Guards Red, 16" alloys, back in the early 80s. Lots of fun with that car!

the only thing im sorry about is you polluting my thread.

- All PMs and Emails responded to - thank you for all those who have taken time to reach out.

- I may have to sell my car to have cash in hand for the right stingray but I know it's out there.

Listen, I found a very nice original '64 Coupe for under the $45-50K he mentioned. And while I didn't wind up finding it through this forum, they pop up here from time to time. You just have to be patient. I've found that people with opinions like this are usually either dreamers that wish they owned a car like this, or are trying to prop up their misguided notions of what they think (wish) their car is worth.

Man, these air cooled 911s are so cool, I was tempted to contact you about a swap for my '64. Hang in there, you'll find the deal you want, although I agree its definitely better to deal with cash in hand. Good luck.

I just listed my 66 BB, reason for the sale is I am looking for a 996.2 Porsche.

Great looking Porsche! If you decide to sell and then look you CAN find a car in your price range. Bought my '66 vert in that range. Good luck. I retired in 2014 after 35 years of airline flying. Enjoyed my time on the 737 too.
