Default 1995 911 993 for C2 NOM '63-'67

I'm floating this out there before I do something drastic like list my car for sale in order to fund my search.

If anyone out there has a C2 NOM coupe and might be eyeing up an air cooled 911 maybe we can talk. Geographic location isnt too important I can travel to look at the right car. I am located in NJ.

Specifically, I'm seeking 63-67 NOM coupe, preferably with the big block hood and side pipes. Must be manual transmission. Looking for excellent condition driver local show car. I'm not looking for a museum piece or a basket case. Originality not important. Would also consider convertible if it has hard top with it.

What I have in trade is valued roughly 55k, so im looking in that ballpark. I have a 1995 993 911 6MT polar silver over marble gray. The car has 56,xxx miles on it, is sorted, accident free, obsessively maintained and cared for. I have owned it for 6 years now, and is my 3rd Porsche. The car is so trouble free that I have become a little bored with it and am looking for something a bit more, unique.

This 993 has had front bumperettes deleted, front washer nozzles deleted, its paint and clear coat are truly exceptional. It has 200 cell sport cats, and fister I exhaust. Its exhaust note is quintessential flat six. It has new full clear bra on the front end and is ready to be enjoyed, does not burn a drop of oil. The list can go on for pages, it has been maintained and looked after in every respect.

My father has a very original small block C2 that is a really cool, simple car to enjoy and has been my introduction to C2s and American muscle in general. His is a driver and I'm looking for something similar just maybe a little bolder and less original is ok.

I know this is a shot in the dark.

I love the Porsche. In process of buying a 993 myself. Unfortunately, I don't have a relevant Corvette to trade you, but wanted to wish you best of luck in your search. I'm sure you realize this already, but the top-money venue for 993's these days is Bring-a-Trailer. Yours looks like it would do very well there.

I had a 911 Targa, Guards Red, 16" alloys, back in the early 80s. Lots of fun with that car!

- All PMs and Emails responded to - thank you for all those who have taken time to reach out.

- I may have to sell my car to have cash in hand for the right stingray but I know it's out there.

Listen, I found a very nice original '64 Coupe for under the $45-50K he mentioned. And while I didn't wind up finding it through this forum, they pop up here from time to time. You just have to be patient. I've found that people with opinions like this are usually either dreamers that wish they owned a car like this, or are trying to prop up their misguided notions of what they think (wish) their car is worth.

Man, these air cooled 911s are so cool, I was tempted to contact you about a swap for my '64. Hang in there, you'll find the deal you want, although I agree its definitely better to deal with cash in hand. Good luck.

Great looking Porsche! If you decide to sell and then look you CAN find a car in your price range. Bought my '66 vert in that range. Good luck. I retired in 2014 after 35 years of airline flying. Enjoyed my time on the 737 too.
