1965 Stingray Convertible
Hello Everyone,
I'm selling my 1965 Stingray Convertible that has been in my family for over 50 years. It was originally bought new by my grandmother in '65. She was an elementary school principal who would drive it to work. It was then passed on to my mother and now myself. The car is very precious to me but unfortunately I now live in the city and am unable to drive and enjoy it as much as I would like to. Looking to give it a nice home where the new owner can cherish its history and hopefully add on to the story.
Below is some technical information:
1965 Corvette C2 Convertible
Eng. 327 cu in (5.4L) Small Block V8
Trans. 2-speed Powerglide
Automatic
Fully re-build engine & carb
New brakes and tires and Top
Fully running.
The car has an original paint job on it but that has worn throughout the years. NO RUST. In pictures you may notice a rip in the driver seat as well that would need fixing.
ASKING PRICE - 30K
The car is located on Eastern Long Island about 2hrs west of NYC.
Please email Sam at scg.corvette@gmail.com for further inquiries.

Hey Phil would you buy this so I stop looking at it. I don't need another Corvette but this one is cool. It would get more attention than all the perfect midyears lined up at any event.
Good luck with your sale OP

Thank you Sam for sending tag numbers. I thought the code looked like GG, but you clarified to me it is CC.........So white, not GG, GLEN GREEN car with standard BLACK interior when new. It is the original paint, and that excites me.
All I need is the motor pad number to verify the horsepower and originality.
The carb has an electic choke which originally did not have, so I need the pad photo.
What was done to the motor when it was rebuilt? And the brakes ? And new top? When were these items performed?
Thank you.

This is a very cool Corvette. I chatted with Sam's mom a few times and extended an offer. Being said, if anyone needs/wants more technical detail, with Sam's permission, I'd be happy to share more.

Could you give me more pictures of the motor compartment and with the top up? I would be interested in knowing all the #'s you could get for me, like engine, VIN., etc. Also would like to know exactly where the car is [west of NY city in Long Island???]. My wife and I would like to make a trip to the east cost anyway. Have my own transporter. Please send me a PM with any information you can. Thanks.
