  • Coupe is much preferred over a convertible,
  • Small block is much preferred over a big block,
  • Highly original. The more "mods" and/or non original parts the more I grow disinterested.
  • Highly optioned: air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows, all working gauges (including clock), leather preferred over vinyl. The more options the better.
  • Can be restored, a show car, or survivor but must be finished (not a project car),
  • Numbers matching (original, born with) drive train to include engine, transmission, and rear end, and would prefer that the other components (like the carb, radiator, etc.,) also be the original/born with components,
  • Exhaust: this is where I get particular... If the car was born with under car exhaust then that's what I want. If the car was born with side pipes then that's what I want. If the car was born with under car exhaust and has been changed to side pipes I am much less interested in that car. If the car was born with side pipes exhaust and has been changed to under car exhaust I am much less interested in that car. Did I mention that I am searching for a car that is highly original?
  • Solid frame (no rust),
  • Solid birdcage (no rust),
  • Prefer some documentation (doesn’t have to be top flight or Bloomington gold) like previous titles, protecto plates, original owners manual(s), pamphlets, etc.
  • Color preference (from best to worst): Nassau Blue, Marina Blue, Silver, Laguna Blue, Elkhart Blue, Lyndale Blue, Trophy Blue, red, white, motorsport green, saddle, black, yellows, greens, maroon,
  • I like the 4 speed manual transmission and I also like the automatic powerglide transmission for what it is.
  • Survivor status is a plus,
  • Original interior is a plus.

I’m not a flipper. I'm a private collector with a healthy budget simply looking for a classic C2 Corvette to enjoy with my family, friends, car shows, and car clubs. Willing to pay a fair price for what you have. PM me or text me at 206-963-8288. You can call me too but it’s best to text me first as I probably won’t answer if I don’t recognize the number (text first telling me you have a C2 that you want to talk about).
Thanks.
Brian

PS: even if you have something that you think doesn't exactly fit my description above please contact me anyway. My preferences changes daily (possibly even hourly) along with my education, and my preferences may have evolved to the point that your car may be close to what I'm looking for today.
Have you considered getting professional help to find you a car ?

Jim, I wouldn't be opposed to getting professional help to locate a car.

Thanks.

Want To Buy 1967 Coupe:
  • Small block is much preferred over a big block.
  • Highly optioned. The more options - the more interested I am. The more "modifications" and/or non original parts - the less interested I become.
  • Highly original preferred. Can be restored, a show car, or survivor but must be finished (not a project car).
  • Numbers matching (original, born with) drive train to include engine, transmission, and rear end, and would prefer that the other components (like the carb, radiator, etc.,) also be the original/born with components (or that you at least have them available).
  • Solid frame and birdcage.
  • Documentation is nice like previous titles, license plates, protecto plates, original owners manual(s), pamphlets, etc.
  • Does not have to be top flight or Bloomington gold.
  • My color preferences: Best: silver pearl and any blue (marina, elkhart, lynndale). Will Consider: red, white, black. Least Interested: green, yellow. maroon.
  • Survivor status is a plus,
  • Original interior is a plus.

I am not a flipper. I am a private collector simply looking for a classic C2 Corvette to enjoy with my family, friends, car shows, and car clubs. Willing to pay a fair price.
Thanks.

I think you either have to hire a expert to find your car, or Go to NCRS national, or Bloomington, and make a offer at the end of the show.

How do I find someone to help me find the car I'm looking for? Online search for "corvette buying expert"? If you have some names (good ones, and one to avoid) you can PM me offline. Thanks.

Moderator(s): the thread title reads WTB 1965 - 1967. Even though I've edited/refined my wish list (post #1) to a 1967, I'm not sure how to edit the thread title. So, if it's allowed, I think I'll start a completely new thread without the 1965 or 1966 reference.

Jim Gessner, at the top of this page has a very good reputation, Roy Sinor, who also is on this site as rsinor, has extensive contacts, and is involved with the type of car you are looking for sales. You could also contact Kevin Mackay at Corvette Repair.

brian, just making a post and “talking” to an unnamed moderator might not be read for quite some time, if at all. We look at thousands of posts.

If you have a request or a question, PM me or any other section moderator for prompt response and assistance.

I could have edited your thread title, something members cannot do. Since you went ahead and started a new thread, Ill close this one.
