Default C2 auto, not red outside, not black inside

My left knee tells me, I better start looking for an automatic if I want to continue to enjoy driving a C2. I prefer quality over originality. My wishlist says: aircondition, no big block, no sidepipes, no red exterior, no black interior, no rust, no cracks, well maintained and ready to drive. The more gears, the better.

So now that we know what you don't want, what is it that you do want? Exterior and interior color preference, engine preference, original engine or other, coupe, convertible, hardtop, etc. I am sure what you are looking for is here if you tell us more. What is your budget? I assume overseas shipping is a requirement based on your avatar correct?

Well, I guess what's left after my exclusions doesn't put me in a position to be more picky. I don't want to pay for a super points car. But it has to look and drive great.
yes, the car will travel across the atlantic. But that's no big deal.

Default Auto - Convertible

1965 Chevy Corvette Convertible - $49990 (Virginia Beach)

https://annapolis.craigslist.org/cto/d/1965-chevy-corvette/6689946960.html

1965 Corvette Stingray Convirtable, original 327/300 matching number engine, has rare automatic transmission, power steering, new tires, brand new Convertible top, interior looks brand new, runs perfect and in excellent condition.

My wish-list says:
AC = no
no big block
no sidepipes
no red exterior,
no black interior
no rust, no cracks
well maintained and ready to drive.
The more gears, the better.

Seems to be a very nice car. Thank you for bringing it up. But without aircondition I have to pass.

You could convert the black interior to saddle. Maybe they would do it for you.

Thank you for letting me know. But that's too far north of my price range.

Is AC still a must? Original Ac's often don't work. You can always install an aftermarket AC.

I really like the looks of the original AC. But if the rest of the package is perfect, yeah, I might consider this option.

It sounds like you may be looking for a mild restoration-mod. You prefer quality over originality, willing to consider no AC if everything else is perfect and you want an automatic "with the more gears the better". Within the midyears of '63 and '67, I believe all of the automatics were two gears, so unless it has also been upgraded to a more current transmission, two gears is what you are going to get. Again, it's starting to sound like a rest-mod to me. If 85K is too steep, the pursuit of a resto-mod may not be in the picture either.

Good luck. I know the guys on here can help, but this may be a tough order to fill.
