There is a rolling frame with engine supposedly from a '61 in Welland for $4000.00 Cdn about $3000.00 U.S. If it is who I think it is the owner is a dealer and he probably took it in trade for restomod stuff.

Once in a while a customer will come to the shop with a 10k corvette. He will ask how much to restore. The price 100k plus. The paint job alone will be over 10k,.' some leave others through down the cash and a way we go.
There are lot of fine late model C3 and many C4's in your price range. It's better to actually have a vette to drive and enjoy than dream about a car that will usually take decades to own (if you are lucky).
