'57 - '60 or '63 - '64 (Coupe) Project or rough driver wanted
Hi All,
Looking to buy a 57-60 C1 in tired driver or project condition. Chassis CAN be rusty as have a spare chassis already. Prefer complete/minimal parts missing. NOM or motor missing is OK.
Also interested in a 63-64 coupe in project or tired driver condition. Birdcage and chassis must be solid. NOM motor or missing motor is OK.
Must have clear title.
Let me know what you have!
Thanks!

Good luck in your search. Cheap , tired, driver condition, has taken on a new meaning in a field of low production in terms of demand. Parts cars in salvage yards are frequently given the second chance to survive. Missing a motor or transmission is not a huge value deduction for the average example. The first step is finding an example for sale before " picking it apart " re options or condition. Keeping in mind these cars are a half century old and been down a dusty road or two. A forum dedicated to the mark may not the best location to look for " the best value " as hundreds of eyes are scanning ads daily.
Working with a contact in the states would certainly be a plus to find your desired example.

Thanks, agree the scarcity of good cars is a challenge and tyranny of distance doesn't help- I figured the forum is a better place to find the cars as an enthusiast of the marque, dealing with CL scammers and Fleabay flippers or dreamers is a waste of time and effort. Certainly not expecting a 'cheap' deal on the basis of it missing engine/gearbox/chassis, just hoping to find a solid NOM car at a price representing fair market value that is suitable to get back on the road.

Not in your year range, but I have been thinking about selling my 56 (almost identical to 57). It was taken off the road in 1977, disassembled in 1979, and has been stored inside ever since. I have all parts for it except for engine. It has a softtop and hardtop. If you are interested, please send me your email and I will forward pics. I am located in North Carolina.
