1962 Corvette C1 *****SOLD****
Hello all,
I am interested in selling my 1962 Corvette. $47,500.00 (SOLD)
This is Not a Numbers Matching trailer queen type of car. This is a car that you can drive, and thoroughly enjoy, without feeling guilty.
Very Nice Honduras Maroon paint, with Black Vinyl Interior, and (Olive/Salt/Pepper Carpet).
The Odometer shows 31075 Miles.
Clear Title
VIN: 20867S106268
This car has been fitted with a 350/300 hp engine, and maintains its original 4 spd transmission.
Engine Serial Number:
3970010 Block Casting Number (350 Engine)
V0122CNR (Stamped)
1970, 350 cid, turbo/hydro trans, 300 hp, 4 bbl
10J197350 (Stamped Code)
New Right and Left side Exhaust Manifolds, and New Mufflers.
New Carter AFB (3721-SB) Carburetor.
Interior has been refreshed with new carpets, dash pad, and seat covers.
I've also purchased a 15" C1 Corvette Steering Wheel, wrapped in Black Leather, New Adapter Hub, and Horn button.
These have not been installed, but will be included.
White Convertible top. (No Hard Top).
New Tires: (Coker American Classic Radials / 1" White Walls) with less than 1000 miles.
The Rear Shocks have been replaced.
The Chassis is free of any rust issues. There area couple of places where the paint has been scratched or scraped and some surface rust has developed.
Steering is tight, with literally no slop from side to side.
This car drives out very strong. It feels very stable and comfortable at highway speeds. It truly is a blast to drive.
It has been very rare to drive it anyplace without people going out of their way to tell me how much they like it.
Buying gas usually turns into a conversation with people who want to see it and talk about it.
I recently had a guy follow me into the post office to talk about this Corvette.
If you're interested, please feel free call to discuss.
Send me a PM, and I'll give you the phone number to call.
Thank you,
Mike

This car was owned by 1 person for 53 years. Jacksonville, Florida.
It was purchased new on May 1, 1962.
From what the C1 Registry mentioned, the original owners (family) still had the original 327 Engine...
I'm not real sure how to track down next of kin to see if they still have it, or if it was sold.
The build date was 2/1/1962.
The Dealer Code-Zone is 14-325.
Loving Chevrolet, Silver Spring, MD.
Upon completion of Manufacture, this Corvette was shipped to this Chevrolet dealership.
5/1962 Sold to Original Owner
5/2015 Sold to America Classic Cars
4/2019 Sold to Me.
I'm trying to get information to show the period of time between 5/2015 to the date that I bought it, just to get an accurate history.
I guess my point in all of this was to say that this car has not been shuffled around from one person to the next throughout it's life. It has been owned responsibly, and shows as such.
It is a "driver"; but it's a very nice driver. It the original engine can be located, it could make sense to give it a full frame off restoration and bring it to trailer queen status. If that's what you like.
In any event, this would make a wonderful car for someone who wants a 62 (C1) to drive for a bit, to get used to the Corvette Classic Car life style and feel.
I know that I fell in love with it pretty quick.

I figured that all DMV’s have those records. I was just not sure that they were available to whoever calls to ask for them. What is the process to get them?

Hello All,
I am very interested in selling my 62 Corvette. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me to discuss.
This is a very nice car, and I have no doubt that whoever buys it will enjoy it for quite a while.
I can be a little flexible on my price, but it won't be a give away.
Send me a PM with your number, and I'll call you as soon as I'm able.
Thank you,
Mike

Beautiful car and the price is very right. Lots of cars out there not nearly as nice or up to the level of care this car has had and asking a lot more money. Numbers matching only counts if your restoring or going to be judged. Drivability and looks are more important. P&I are very nice and those are high dollar items. Good Luck!

LOL. No worries Blue. I appreciate the information. I'll give them a call and see what I can come up with. It's always better to have too much information.
Whatever comes back will be information that can be passed along with the sale of my car.
Take care, and thanks again.

I had hoped that someone in this community would be the buyer of my car. But I think it's time to list it on E-Bay and a couple of the other Classic Car websites.
Thank you all for your interest and positive remarks.
