Default '65 327 block?

I need some help decoding a SBC and I hope that you guys can help me out.

Passanger side infront of the head reads:
YYY001897
T0905HV

The suffix code comes up with 327 block with 350 hp

the block casting number
3932888
I can't find this number anywhere though

the head number is
333882

which I found to be 74-80 350-400 heads with 76cc chambers..

Can anyone here help me out with this?

Thanks Rob

well, about all I can tell you is that it is a Tonowanda block, and never delivered in a Corvette, but I am guessing you already knew that.

I did not know that, was the HV suffix used on any other block besides the 327? I am not that much up on Corvette codes.

Thanks

3932888 is a late 60's-early 70's 350 truck or passenger block, and the 333882 heads go with it. The "HV" suffix says it was originally a '69 350/255hp 4-barrel from an Impala/Caprice.

Thanks JohnZ

Could you tell me where you looked that up? I would like to know if it has compression ratio, 4 bolt or 2 bold main? anything like that. It has a Performer RPM intake and 600 cfm carb on it and it runs like a sick dog.Might just need rebuilt with alittle more compression.

The 2388 was a 2-bolt block; after 30+ years, the only way to tell what innards may be in it is to tear it down. Originally it had low compression and small valves.
