Default What 70 series tire is the same diameter as a 7.75x15?

I have F70's on my '65. I am thinking about buying another fellow's 205x70x15's. I don't want any fitment problems. I've looked on tirerack, but can't find a comparison of these outside diameters.
Does anyone know the measurements of the 775's, the F70's and the 205's?

I believe the 775X15 is 27" in diameter. Tire diameter varries slightly by brand but a 215/70X15 would be a closer fit to a 775. The 205 would be smaller by around 3/8 of an inch. Hopefully someone else will chime in and verify.

Same answer as has been given dozens of other times. The 215/70R-15 has the same revs/mile spec (775) as the 7.75-15 and about the same OD of 27.0"
