Default Old steel gas line breaks easy

Forgot to post this when i first was disasembling the frame on my 65. My gas line was leaking inside the kickup assembly and this was one of the reasons why i decided to go ahead and remove the body. As soon as I rotated the gas line for removal it snapped in half-this was without hardly and force. Just a little twist and snap-two pieces. My frame really wasnt rusty either-very minimal. Here are the pics.

Default old is fragile...

That is another example why Corvette Cental and LICS etc will always have lots of business .. even just sitting metal corrodes or gets brittle !
another example of "while I'm at it I might as well replace the _____ " which leads to something else etc.. probably a good idea to replace the brake lines now as well..

Oh, everything is being replaced or reconditioned. I didnt pull the body off just to replace the gas line.
