Re: Vette shop near Santa Barbra? (396 RAT)
Corvette Service Company - Melinda & Edward Wittwer,
3651 Via Real, Carpinteria, CA, 93013, (805) 684-5859.
This is it. Nice shop, clean, they all wore coveralls.
Never got back to me though about the 67 BLACK LEFT FRONT PARKING LIGHT PANEL I need.

Kev, that was PAINFUL to see the picture of the wrecked Vette. Hope no one was hurt - but what happened? How'd that hole get into the headlight housing> Almost looks like the driver tried to bump open a locked gate that had the radiator-puncturing rods welded onto it ;)

Re: Vette shop near Santa Barbra? (Stingrr)
I still don't know what made that hole. It came from the front of some POS Honda that turned in left in front of me :cry going into a driveway. Her first words (I remained calm I wanted to scream and yell at this person, but the kinder gentler Kevin prevailed) "Sorry I did not see you". But her friends convinced her later to claim that I was speeding and she could not tell how fast I was approaching, so she turned left in front of me. Yes that's her story and her insurance Co. is backing her. So this is a no hit, original car, and I'm going to have it repaired at a restorers shop not by some body shop hack as was the pressure from the Ins Co. Have settled the collision claim, but I have to sue her for my diminished value. And I still can't drive my car and I'm still looking for parts NOS black fiberglass of course. So that's it in a nutshell. I found the shop above while on my way home from a 260 mi. journey for a part. Oh and of Course I was hurt, didn't know it at the time but next day wow was I sore and sprained.

Thanks for the info.
Sorry about your misfortune.
I would be mortified. :mad
But, Like my dad used to say
"Cars can be fixed"
Glad you came out of it OK.
My wife was in a similar wreck yrs ago.
She was turning left in a res. area. Going about 5mph.
Over a small hill came a compact car doing 80+ in a 25.
(based on police report and skid marks & where the Hun-die ended up.)
Other driver just got served papers from her soon to be X.
Very upset. Her car was totaled. My wifes Cherokee
looked about like your vette. Went to court and lost.
Had to repair the Jeep. Was told oncoming trafic has right of way
reguardless of speed! Was I pissed!
But this will go in your favor. :o)
