C-1 steering box lubricant.
I had a reply from John Z, (thanks John) regarding the spacer, in which it was mentioned that a grease was preferable to the steering gear oil due to high temps.
I had already fitted the box before getting this mesage and I was hoping not to have to remove and dissasemble the box. If I do use steering gear oil and if it doesn't leak out, how much should be in the box?
Should it be filled up so all components are bathed in oil or is there a set height in the box.
I have refered to the ST-12 service guide, but it doesn't mention (or I can't find) a level.
Thanks for any input.
Mark.

Fill it up to just below the bottom of the fill plug hole to ensure that the worm and its bearings get lubricant.
