Default My "new" 66 vert (pics)

Thought I'd post a couple of pics of my new 66 vert. 4spd, factory air. Needs some work, but it's all there.

Thanks! It appears to be a BB originally, but somewhere down the line someone yanked the BB and put in a 68' Z28 Camaro 302 DZ motor. It runs very strong, but I plan to take it back to a BB.

That 302 may be worth some money to the camaro guys if it really is a Z28 motor. Does it still have anything on the stamp pad? If I remember right, they stamped the VIn along the edge of the block next to the oil filter.

If memory serves, the suffix on the stamp pad for a '68 Z/28 is MO. Nice car!

Default Nice ride

Paul,
Your new vette looks great. I also like the wheels. It seems like it's sitting up a bit in the back end? Maybe it's just tire size. Good luck with it. When you replace the engine, what BB will you use? How about a 572 crate motor? Or will you go with something a bit more orginal?

Good luck neighbor.

I was thinking of trying to go back to a 427. Although, I just read an article in one of my vette mags (can't remember which) where they did a big block buildup using a 454 block that they stroked, but it looked like a 67 tri-power set-up and it made about 650 hp! That would be cool! Thanks for the compliments! Paul
