67 interior color change
Anybody know the approximate time and cost on changing a 67 vette's white interior to black. Dash, shifter console, seat belts, carpet, are already black and in great shape. The door panels are in excellent shape all be it in white along with seats and brake console. What about spraying them with the dye's I see for sale. Is that as easy as I hear and can a backyard mechanic like myself do it. And can I spray the white vinyl seats and backs black. Or do I have to recover them with new skins. In any case would I be better off just taking it to an auto upholstery shop and letting them do it saveing time but spending more. What would you guys do? Car has a fresh interior ( body on ) but I am not a white interior guy. :chevy

I spayed the backs of my seats from tan to black, and it looked ok,
but after some things rubbed against them they didn't look good.
Some places you could see the tan and other marks.
You may have better luck with a dye, I just replaced mine and didn't try that.

I don't know about the time and cost factors, but I do know that the black/white interior option is somewhat rare on a '67. If your car was ordered with the b/w interior and still has the original drivetrain, you may want to reconsider changing the interior's colors. I know I would
