I am going to look at a 66 Coupe that I May purchase. Is there a quick surefire way to ID as a BB car? The engine is NOM.

Thanks in advance

Search the archives- probably one of the most asked questions besides "how big of a tire can I fit on a C2"....

The date the rear diff. was cast and the rear axle code. This is probably the one item that most SB cars which are now converted to BB cars still have that is incorrect compared to a true BB car. Rear code should be AT,AU,AZ,FA,FB,or FZ for BB cars. Cast date should be just prior to build date to car. Rear numbers located at underside of rear diff.,not the numbers on bottom of rear cover facing rearward. If you are skinny, slide underneath from rear of car with flashlight and small wire brush.
