Default Cylinder Block Date Code

Can someone tell me what the code should look like. There are a variety of numbers stamped on the engine. I do know and have the engine number. Thanks (Oh, it is for a 1954 Corvette.)

The #'s I have are 3835913 GM22. Those are the ones I wrote down. The engine # is 0319856 F54YG.

Should be "cast" 911. Refer to the pix. The casting # is located on the side of the block, above the fuel pump.

The number you posted COULD BE the cylinder head #, which is not correct for 54. Should be a "241".

The casting date of the block is located above the starter, should be something like B 18 4, where B is February, 18 is the 18th of the month, and 4 is the year, 1954.

With an engine SN of 0319856, I'd guess an A or B casting date for the block. Chuck
