Default Have you ever seen WHITE & SADDLE 1964-only interior ?

Hello !
We all have seen all white interiors mixing white with red, blue or black.
Here is an example with white and red : http://www.vintagevettesllc.com/Inve...White/379.html

But have you ever seen WHITE & SADDLE which is listed in 1964 options (491HA, HE and 899HA, HE) ?
I found infos about interiors breakdown on http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...64/64prod.html
White and saddle is by far the rarest of them all (vynil or leather)
The percentages give roughly 130 in vinyl and some 20 in leather !!!
I still wait to see one especially a coupe which represented only 30% of the production...

Saddle only is much more common and often seen. Moreover it's not a 1964-only and you can find it on other midyears.

If anyone has photos please send !

Many thanks in anticipation
Kind regards
Christian

My 64 is supposed to be saddle/saddle but I didn't realize it was kinda rare until I'd already went red. Oh well

The saddle color is rare because it was ugly, and nobody wanted it. It's still ugly, and nobody wants it. Rare does not equal desirable. I'm throwing my saddle interior in the trash and changing to red and I'm sanding the ugly saddletan paint off and changing to black... I hate saddletan.
Just my very humble opinion...

Geez Lars,

I never known you to be humble...... Let alone very humble....

I love that color combo, make sure we get pics of it when it's done....

As I said Saddle paint is not that rare, nor is the Saddle interior.
It's the white & saddle that is really rare.

Then I don't really think that the Saddle colour is ugly. It's only a matter of taste. Personnaly I can't stand the red interior. I find it agressive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder !!!

But I also agree that rarity is not necessarly interesting such as 3 speed manual !

Best regards
Christian

I have a 66 maroon exterior w/ blk leather interior but have decided to change to saddle since the other collector (non corvette) cars have black and black is not a great color for a convertible.

I was at a show and I saw a 1963 or 64 brown or gold corvette with "saddle" interior and I was horrified. Luckily the 66 saddle does not look at all like the 63 or 64.

Default Saw one at Paragon

Last week I stopped by Paragon Corvette in Flint, MI and they were finishing up a restoration on a White exterior/saddle interior '64 Coupe. I thought it looked great. That may be becuse mine is so far from completion!

Christian,

I have a '64 Ermine White/Saddle Tan (leather) Coupe. It's a 365hp 4sp car with A/C and PW. My guess is that there were not too many made like it. Sounds like Lars is glad there wasn't. No offense taken, Lars.

I'm out of town at the moment, but I'll try to post pictures for you early next week. There may be a few pictures of it on the Great Lakes forum from past regional events. If I can find them, I'll post the links here for you.

In my entire life I have never seen a white and saddle interior, it must look odd... The other guys realize that he is talking white seats in a beige interior? The pics of the white car with the tan roof do not show the seats...

Default There Is A Guy In My Corvette Club With An Original...

1964 red convertible with a white/saddle interior. I'm not sure what options he has on the car, but I do know he has solid lifter small block engine and a four speed. Car is in very nice shape and often wins "Best of Show" at cruise-ins.
I don't have any pics right now of his car, but will look around as we often attend the same events and may have taken some pics in the past.

A freind of mine from Omaha has(had) a Saddle Tan 64 with the white and saddle interior, white soft top, knock off wheels and luggage rack. I think it is a very nice color combo...and this was a very nice car. I might have a picture of it somewhere. Not sure if he still has it since I moved away from Omaha a couple years ago and lost contact with him.

Years ago I saw an original special order black/silver interior in a silver pearl 65 coupe. Best looking midyear interior I've ever seen.

Awh come on guys white exterior with saddle interior is Classy. White with White and Saddle may be a little bit of a clash.

Christian,

My bad. I just reread this thread and realized you were looking for a combo color interior, not a single color. Mine's all saddle tan, similar to the picture above but with tan dash pads.
