The traditional Weber 48IDA/IDF's with a tall adaptor would be sharp too (but buy-in, reversion, & tuning can become a distraction):



The 38 DGAS has proven to be a worthwhile modern 2V performance alternative. They do not have the progressive linkage of the 32/36DGV, although with the power valve, accelerator pump circuit, and ~400cfm they can perform well (and with the choke & linkage removed they can look decent):
