Vibration at 60 on 60, tires?
Alignment guy said it was bent rims.
Spin balane guy says it's the tires.
Tires are from CC Firestone Champion repros.
????
Will spin balance on the car help?

Burning Brakes
My vibration
I bought a car in CA and drove it back to SD. Couldn't figure out why it vibrated between 64 and 75 mph, and where it came from, until I stopped and noticed that the top two bolts holding the trans to the engine were missing. A stop at a hardware store and two bolts later and vibration gone.
I had previousely checked the harmonic balancer, motor and tranny mounts and flywheel bolts and found OK.

This is easy - Tintin used to have 3 Firestone tire stores...
Jack up the car and check the runout on the tires.. I'll will bet that they are not round as even new TA tires are not. You perform this task by spining the wheel and holding a piece of chalk nearby the tire tread face. If you get a dotted line , that is the high spot. I had a car with the goodyear eagle 2 tires and it was high about a quarter inch in spots. The wheel wiggled in your hand at 65-75 but was fine otherwise..
