I am not an expert on '65 FI cars but I believe the 64 and 65 used the same air cleaner. 63 has it's own version if I recall correctly. Either way, if the price is right just buy it. Original air cleaners are scarce and valuable. Additionally, look into what happened to the rest of the car and FI unit. If you can locate either you have found something of a treasure!

Good luck!

The only difference in the air cleaners is the location of the snaps that hold the lid/elbow on. Early '63-all the rest. The air cleaner sticker was different between '63-'65. I don't remember where the '64 sticker fits this picture.

Be aware that a number of years ago, there were steel repops made that were a little different. I was told the repops lack the air difuser in the inlet end of the housing but I can't verify that.

There is a current steel repop made that I've never seen.

Attachment to the radiator support, left iner fender and to the FI air meter will be the same. So, if you come across an original air cleaner-----------------------AND ABSOLUTE CORRECTNESS IS NOT A PRIORITY----------------------GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if you don't want to use it, you can get your money back!
I cannot, and I am not, going to mention all the "stuff" that I've passed up through the years. I'm old enough that I clearly remember back when you almost couldn't give away FI units and parts. Also, I've seen complete 2x4 setups go for $40, and batwings that were literally thrown away!

I'm surprised Pro Team hasn't "unearthed" a '66 FI coupe - The Last Rochester FI!
