What Brand of Throwout Bearing?
Mine is starting to howl so it's time to replace it. I gather that some of the replacements that are available vary in quality. Tell me what brand you bought so that I won't be replacing it again in two or three years.
Thanks!

Can't tell you what brand, but I can tell you to be careful. There are several different "designs" available, all of which have different lengths. Make sure you get one that is identical to the one in your car. Things might have been changed over the years, and the "factory correct number" TO bearing might not work for your application. Many cars will have a different clutch fork, different clutch/pressure plate, different bellhousing, etc. Don't ask me how I know this :) Chuck

animal,
As stated above with a slight addition, along with different lengths there are flat face and curved face bearings. Take yours to a real parts store and buy a name brand Delco, Bower, etc. If it was me i would also change the pilot bushing in the back of the crankshaft.

How can one tell if the throwbearing is gone!
There's always a slight vibration noise coming from the engine bay but as soon
as i slightly press on the clutch pedal, the vibration stop! Is the bearing the cause of this vibration?

It may be but, it is possible that your clutch is simply out of adjustment. How far down does your pedal travel when you depress the clutch? If you travel more than about 1 1/2 inches you can adjust the travel.
If you need a description of how to do this let me know.
If your throwout bearing is gone, your clutch would not always disengage when you depress the pedal.
I suspect your vibration is probably the result of normal wear.

The clutch pedal travel about 1 1/2 -2 inch before the clutch disengage!
I've try to adjust hit by tighting the adjustment where the clutch rod connect to the metal plate welded on the frame! didn't do much difference... still vibrates

My guess would be that you will be replacing a clutch at some point. For now, enjoy.
