Was the 608 water pump the right casting number for a 63 340hp car? Was it date stamped or not.

no date code - should be "326" for most 1963/4 according to 1963/4 NCRS TIM&JG

BTW - if you have an early 1963, then "609" would be correct

FYI - personally, I believe "609" is correct for ALL 1963's and that is what I have on my late 1963

NOT the 608.

I agree with the 609 that mdz06vetter posted.

The JG says 326, but I disagree. I have the 609 on my late 63, and it judges fine.
