cloyes timing chain marks info needed.
Does any one know what each timing mark on a cloyes double roller timing chain means?
Mine has a triangle, a circle and a square
I want to make sure I am setting everything up right.
What I really need to know is what keyway goes to what symbol?
thanks Kyle

Just happen to have my box handy and the 0 is the normal factory straight up setting, the square is 2 degrees retarded and the triangle is 2 degrees advanced.

Kyle 69-71 if you are looking at your crankshaft sprocket you will see one keyway with square cut top, one with rounded top and one with pyramid top. For normal factory setting use the keyway with the rounded top which is no advance or retard on the cam. When using the round top key you use the 0 timing mark on the sprocket to line up with the timing mark on the cam sprocket. Similarly the square top key would retard the cam by 2 degrees and be used with the square timing mark, and the pyramid top shaped key would advance the cam 2 degrees and be used with the triangular timing mark. Hope this helps.
