Default Aftermarket Tilt

Has anyone installed either the Flaming River or iDidit columns in their car? How complicated was it and what are the upsides of either one? Did you need a special hub for the stock wheel?

Thanks! My column cover has become loose over the last 44 years and needs replacing as the locking fingers have all been broken off. The tilt would be nice as well as it is a long way down to the seat and I am not so limber as once I was...

Default No help for you, but...

I bought a Flaming River tilt column and a small wheel, which I'll get to as soon as I can move another project out of the way.

I'll be lurking around here hoping for some helpful info.

The flaming river column is a straight bolt-in operation. They make their column to accept the stock Corvette hub.

Santa got me an Ididit column and install kit. No I didn't unwrap them, the Chinese wrapping paper is so thin I can see the Ididit logo through the paper.

Default Flaming

Got a Flaming Tilt 2-years ago. used my Hub ,got the turn signal wire connector -made for easy switch.
My mistake I put my original wheel on.

can't use lower positions ,can't put clutch in.am now looking at a GRANT 14" wheel to solve that problem. also got the paintable steel column. Finish product $400.00.
