Default Corvettes on History Channel

There was a really excellent episode of the new Series called "American Classics" tonight on the History Channel. Among other things (Ford Mustangs, Model T's, trains, drive-in theaters, and Harley's) the featured classic American cars were the '57 Chevrolet and solid axle Corvettes, especially the '57. The Corvette's relationship with Route 66 was covered. They even had a web site poll for voting on the favorite classic featured that night. As I recall the Ford Mustang (or was it the T-bird?) beat out the '57 Corvette by one percentage point, 36% to 35%, with the '57 Chevrolet a distant third at about 15%.

The History Channel has a habit of rerunning things into the ground, so if you missed it, keep your eyes peeled for a rerun.

Mike
