How many of you want this gosh darn winter to end?
Here in the midwest we keep getting piled on with snow. Where I live the average winter snowfall is 39". We already have 36! I plow snow at my restaurant to save a buck. I am sure I saved alot this winter but I am tired of it. I want to get my cars out and drive them.
Oh well. Enough venting.
I'm tired of this winter................

Ditto, but my car is not going to be back on the road this year, so it is a LITTLE pointless to fret over the weather.

9* F here (Elmira, NY) right now. Gonna go down to about 4* tonight with a 90% chance of 3" of snow tomorrow. Only 52 days till we head for CA on Route 66.

Hey people, we have minus 2 degrees here currently. Same as last night.
Think the vette has highs and lows. Summertime has a lot of highs but sure is depressing to walk by it's covered form every day on way to plow snow or break up ice on very long lane to house for a lot of year. Need to move south I think.

It Cant Get Here Fast Enough
Me, only 3 days ago. That way my daughter #2 would not have spun out riding on ice at mile marker 183 on I-94. It cost me a good 1995 Z-28 6 speed convertible. She couldn`t just slide into a ditch, no, she had to take some roadside information signs as well. Fortunately no injuries. She is well experienced at 24 in destroying my one owner toys. Two Vettes, {84 & 86} a Grand Cherokee, and now the 'Z'. .. ..

1993 during a 3 minute winter time fill up.... Sorry for you HS67... 5 of us hit the Texas backroad twisties on Sunday (yesterday) on our Sportbikes... 60 miles and breakfast...50 miles roaring back to the house... great time cutting up..in the 70's by the time we got back.

Visited friends in Minnesota and Iowa this year.... -19 degrees!
Sorry... I'll take California any day... 74-degrees this afternoon. Got a little sunburned washing the car. Sorry.

All of those experiencing an uncomfortable winter have my condolences. I put on a pair of shorts and a T-shirt today, put the top down on my '65, drove down San Vicente to Pacific Avenue to the California incline, to the Pacific Coast Highway and drove along the coast waving at all the other classic cars driving about. I'm not making this stuff up. You all need to move out here, the traffic is not that bad and there are lots of foreclosed houses available!

It actually rained in AZ a week or so ago!
Az, CA, FL, South Texas, the Redneck Riveria
These are all great places, but they rely on you, the Yankee, to slave away all winter in order to keep our traffic manageable and to donate a few bucks to the local merchants.
Come to visit, then go back up north until next year!

I'm with you winter bashers, but only because this is February. For the most part, I love winter, at least two or three months of it. After that, outdoor winter activities get a little old. It really is nice to have four distinct seasons. An aunt of mine from California used to come north for the winters; she much preferred northern winters to winter in Fresno. Five months of winter like we get is a little long, but a few weeks in Mexico or another warm spot makes long winters bearable. Besides, I get a lot more work done on my old cars during the winter than the summer. Warm weather tends to make me lazy and want to sit in the shade and drink too much beer.
Let's raise the topic of weather again next July. I wonder what those now gloating in Arizona and Texas will have to say then?

Go burn some gas and put more CO2 in the air.
Since the sun is beginning to enter a quiet stage, which will last for about 70-200 years or longer, you will need all the greenhouse gas warming help you can get to keep the glaciers at bay, as less solar radiation heats the earth.
Fortunately for you Iowans, i doubt the glaciers will get much past Saskatoon before the next 100 years
