increases the tension in that area and can cause some type of internal damage to the carb over time. Maybe someone else can explain in more detail. I just run one now and carry a spare.
If the one spring is in good condition, not fatigued, I don't see any reason for the second. Now if you are a racer with heavy duty s-it, maybe a second one to make sure the throttle returns in case there is some kind of issue
There was 1 on my 66 but as I tryed to start it Sat. it broke while I was pumping the gas peddel before it started. There will be 2 on there from now on and also on my 63 coupe also.
