Default What carter wcfb was on my 1960?

I have the oringinal block for my 1960 and it is date stamped Feb 9, 1960. What carter carb model would have been on it 2818S or 3059S? It is a 283 1x. The only clue to manufacturer date is the engine stamp of feb 9 1960 and the vin last five are 04607 if that helps.

Thanks

It would help if we had a clue about which engine it is - 1x4?, 2x4 245hp?, 2x4 270hp?

Even though the feb engine date? The NCRS manual says 59 and early 60 is 2818S.

Thank you

Definately a 3059S is the correct one for that car.

both the 2818 and the 3059 use the same carb top #1396.The center section for the 2818 is #208 or 1208.The center section for the 3059 is #1353 or 1517.But you definetly need the 3059
