Barry, I certainly understand your frustration and applaud your continued efforts on this page, but yeah - don't drive yourself crazy

Barry, we appreciate the great information that you have graciously shared with us and I thank you. Firefox 3 is an easy download/install which provides access to all your shared information. You're the best man.

I know I said I gave up but I am a glutton for punishment and hate to admit failure so I kept working on the page.........
I MIGHT have solved it.

I need IE6 and IE7 users to PLEASE check the page again and tell me if it's working now. It's taking a good 10 seconds or so or even longer, maybe 30 seconds if you don't have a really fast connection to fully load the page but once the Accordion CLOSES the page is loaded.

Please tell me if it's working now on either of those two browsers.

Thanks!!

Displays fine with ie7 XTsp3 machine but very slow paging down (6-7 pages?) when page up is issued all but two pages disappear (accordion section is gone). I did not open/close "accordion".

I'm on a BIG broadband line too.

Barry, You Da Man!

Works on IE6 (a tad slow to download home page - 13 sec. via DSL, and very workable)!

Magic and John, if it's working AT ALL on IE7 and IE6 that's a huge improvement.

realize that basically behind each section of the accordion is another page specifically for that section and than that "behind the scenes" page is imported into that section so i know it's a slow loading page but it's really loading 24 pages all at once! (understand now why I wasn't up for a complete rebuild all over again?! 24 webpages is not fun!)

I'm not getting slow scrolling once the page loads completely on my systems or browsers (Safari, Firefox, and Opera on a very old Mac) but in IE anything is possible.

Like I said, if it's working in IE7 & 6 now at all it's a big help.
Thanks!

Barry,

Works fine on IE7. Thanks for your dedication to the hobby and the Forum. You have provided so many with a great resource.

Slow response on your pages: I have my ie7 options set to reload pages every time, otherwise the Corvetteforum shrinks to 20 posts or goes black most of the time - and it's the only site that does it.

I have firefox but seldom use it because it doesn't suppress ads and popups as well as ie7 does AND the fonts look like 1st grade kids printed them. When firefox grows up, I'll try it again.

Thanks for the hard work.

Also, the FireFox header in the middle of your screen capture doesn't look anything like what I'm using. I'm using 2.0.0.14, maybe you've got a different version.

Awesome! Thanks for another confirmation Roy.

That's it, I can finally put this page to bed and be done with it for a while until I get more articles to add.

Man I'm glad. After all this i'm sick and tired of dealing with it. I don't even want to think about that tech page for a long time now

Thanks VERY much Barry, for all of your hard work! What a fantastic collection of information, everything I need is printed, in hand and we're going out to the shop to check a couple of problems out. Again, thank you!

Barry

It works fine on my Firefox or IE7. Great job and thanks for sticking with the project! Your time and efforts are much appreciated!

Just a note; in the "Body and Frame" section that "C2 Firewall Holes" is not from me. Hope the real owner will let you know.

Thanks again!
