I suggest you get the o/ring type calibers, and not the lip seal. I just got them rebuilt from Volunteer Vette for 89 bucks a piece + a core charge. Also, until Dec 31 you get 10% off,and free shipping. The calipers come from Lone Star and the quality seems very good. I believe Lone Star is wholesale only. The calipers are rebuilt Delco's,just like the originals.

Burning Brakes
I may be wrong but I think the disc brake are the same up to 1982. If that's the case you should be able to go to any auto store and buy them.'
Make sure I'm right, check with the other guys.,

They (Lone Star) are at Corvette Carlisle and sell on ebay all the time. I looked at their brake products at Carlisle and they seemed acceptable for what I was looking for. I'm soon in the market also.

I love my powder coated VBP calipers all around w/the O-ring upgrade. I just did a complete brake rebuild including adding a dual master setup from the '67 and new lines (steel). I did stainless caliper lines also to elimate any spongeness. I don't have or need power brakes with the stopping power I have now. As I have said before it stops on a dime and gives you back 9 cents change. VBP is great to deal with from my experiences with them too.

Mostly just shop price/delivery/warrenty. Once you have the stainless sleeves the only problem left is the pot metal pistons. Next time they need attention you just use stainless pistons.
