58 Wiper Trans. install?
O/k, car is gutted, frame off on a 58 Fuelie.
But, wiper trans. went in o/k on the pass. side, loosened the bracket and pushed the unit up enough to get the chrome eschut. on and start the thin nut on the threads.
Now, on driver side I wiggle the trans. unit & bracket up past the framing for the gauge cluster but seems the trans. stud does not go high enough for the eschut. to expose any threads. I look underneath and the base of the trans. unit is flush with the body, and no body work done in this area. So, am I missing something obvious?

the bracket on the wiper trans slides up and down on the transmission ,maybe its a little cocked and not sliding all the way ,try to reposition it sometimes it takes a few tries
