Here are a bunch from Moroso's site. Rick still has the same car that his Dad ran in the 60s. Note the photo with the letter - It was written by Dick to me telling me about his purchase of the car in 1963. We spent many hours, many success races and many national records with the car in the 60s. Rick now has a 572 crate motor in the car putting out around 700 hp. He occassionally drives it on the street. It is incredibly fast and still a thrill to ride in the car I've known for nearly 46 years.

I still have mine, a '61.
You can find a picture of it here http://registryofcorvetteracecars.co.../view_cars/438
The car raced from 1960 to late 1962, then a little in the late 60s.
Won B/SP at the 62 Winternationals.
Yes, I did Top Flight it in 1991, but then I told myself this is stupid, and put the Traction Masters, headers, aluminum flywheel, and magnesium wheels back on it. I was much happier.

Here is another one, we purchased the car in 99 from a guy in Key Largo, Fl. He had purchased the car from California, car has a couple of decals from Bakersfield and Pomona. Unknown history otherwise, we bought the car as a rolling chassis. First picture is as we bought it without the drivetrain, second picture is current. Hope to be making it's first pass in many years on 1/31 at Bradenton.

Hi Pat,
Thanks for the kind words.
Yes, Kenny is my son, but as you can see he goes by Ken, except for his parents calling him Kenny.
He works as a photographer for Don Williams at the Blackhawk Museum in Danville CA. He likes taking pictures of cars alot more than working on cars!
Thanks for the kind words.

Ken's a perfect example. And you've given him a pretty nice car to practice
his trade with!

12.14 w/ the original 327
Our 59 was raced by Joe Gromm (???) of Americam in in CA the 1960s.

Our 62 was never a race car, but we still have some fun with it. We drove it cross-country, raced it at Beech Bend, and drove it home. Running the original engine (block, heads and distributor anyway), the car has gone 12.7X. We've driven to/from and raced at LACR, California Speedway, Beech Bend, and Famoso. Between Oct 2008 and Nov 2008 alone, we put 800 miles on the 62 driving to and from Famoso three times for various races.

Jim did a bang up job with those pictures. Wow. Some great shots. Two of the great drag cars of that era were the Sam Gianino '57 Gasser that won in Indy in '67 along with my Pizza Man. Also Larry Lombardo drove a '61 that won Stock Eliminator the same year. He went on to work for Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins.
The blown motor out of the Pizza Man that Jim posted was one of many that went that way every season. They ran through three motors per year. When you wind a GMC six in excess of 9,000 rpms, employing sixties technology, they will grenade at some point.
Jim, if you give me a PM with your email, I will send you some more pics. I am just about finished bringing the Pizza Man back to its original livery and correctly carbureted with the 45 mm DCOE Webers. I will be picking it up from the shop on Wednesday.

I really don't know ALL the history of mine before '71.....but it had seen *some action* in it's life!
I've been doing my best to keep it going the right direction!!

How about a C2 autocrosser? Here's a photo right after I sawed out the fenders to fit Kumho V710 315-35-17's all the way around. The car got seriously fast with the big tires. It now is flared with a 540 HP small block....and even faster. The car is not NCRS friendly.
