Anyone tried Zoop Seal (polished metal sealer)
Has anyone have any feedback on how Zoop Seal works?
Is it worth the effort / cost?
Any better products for maintaining polished surfaces?
http://www.zoops.com/zoopseal.asp
Thanks,
Plasticman

Zoops supposed to be good stuff. But pricey.
I called Billet Specialties about the billet wheels I bought and was told by the technician over the phone that a good carnauba wax twice a year would be fine. he said that was what he used and the wheels looked like new.

I've tried it. Seemed to flake off and yellow after 2 months. PITA to maintain. It dulled the shiny finish some. That was on a daily driven Durango. It may last longer on your vette. I should have saved my money and put car wax on it instead.

John,
I've used it on polished stainless and aluminum. I found that it can be applied relatively easily on small parts but is more difficult on larger areas (such as wheels) to get it on evenly and without affecting the shine. It's a multi-step process starting with their cleaner to remove any polishing residue. Then the sealant is applied, let dry and then polished with their supplied polish.
They say it should last two years in normal use but we haven't had it on that long to know how well it lasts. Frankly, I think the suggestion of polishing and waxing twice a year or so is probably just as effective.
