Default New 1967 Bolt-On Wheel Pictures

Here are some shots of a pre-production sample 1967 Bolt-On Wheel. Hardware for these wheels is produced and mounts the same as it originally did.

Capt Roy,

These these wheels are 6" and yes they will fit on your 1966. As we mentioned previously the goal is to have them available by, or shortly after, Corvettes at Carlisle. Pricing will be announced for these wheels, as well as the 63-66 Original Style Knockoff Wheels and the 63-66 Direct-Bolt Knockoff Wheels, later this week and will be posted here on the forum.

Those wheels look great. Will you be doing any pre-orders?

Pricing for the wheels will be announced sometime this week and once that has been done we will start accepting orders.

Will the retaining clips work any better? Any time you remove one of the centers you end up breaking clips.

Mike,

Keep in mind that the clips are designed to make sure the Starburst and Emblem stay on the wheel, but should not break if they have been properly heat treated. It is possible that if a clip has been treated incorrectly, more precisely over heat treated, that they could become brittle and thus break under a certain amount of pressure. We have also seen clips break because they were installed backwards on the starburst. There is a long side and a short side on the clips and the long side always goes on the inside of the retaining ring. The short side goes between the ring and the wheel for clearance. If the clips are installed with the long side out it becomes very difficult to remove the starburst and the amount of force needed could indeed break a clip. That being said, as always, if the parts are defective we will replace them.

John,

We will be speaking with various NCRS judges at Bloomington about that and will post the results of those conversations.
