needle paint for mid years
Hi again,
I have tried 2 paints trying to match the original gauge needles but no success. They're both too pink, not orange enough. Anyone know the proper paint with a name and source? Maybe an auto or hardware chain.
The paint from LIC is not correct as I have the original gauges to check against
Thanks for any help

Joe,
I have owned my car for 40 years and have the original gauges. The color they are now is not the color they were 40 years ago. Paint your gauges and wait 40 years and the color will match.

When I was trying to match the gauge needle color (some shade of green) for a '62 I went to an art supply store and bought something that was very close to the correct color except a little darker. Also bought a tube of white so that I could mix it and match the color of the existing gauges.
