Hopefully, there is a picture of my 66. If so, thanks to 62Jeff and my wife. Bill, what wheels/tires will you use for your new color. I am not sure goldlines work well for silver.

Dennis, I see that you are taking the oppurtunity to brag both about your newfound car and your newfound ability to post photos. And I am envious of both ! And for your information, Goldlines work great on any colour '65 or '66. Including silver !

I Agree the silver pearl is one of the best. Thought about painting the SWC that color until .......one car show..... their was a Silver SWC next to a Silver Blue SWC. IMO the orginal silver had a dull gray look to it. Could have been an overcast day ...... That's what changer my mind

Mercedes has IMO always had the best looking silver paint

If I wanted to have any car in silver that was not competing for originality it would be mercedes silver

Hi Buffalo Bill, I looked thru my book and came up with Silver Pearl Metallic , code 986 . That is the only silver code for 1965-1967 Corvette.

Good Luck,
Karen

If you get a chance, check out a 2006 "60th Anniversary" Fender standard (made in Mexico) Stratocaster. The only color available on this model was called "Blizzard Pearl" and it is gorgeous! Since Fender traditionally uses standard automotive colors, it shouldn't be hard to find.

Hello Dennis; I found this old thread photos, and had to ask: is this the same paint job as is seen in your avatar photo? (ie; is that what this same color looks like in daylight? ) I have a silver pearl '67, and considering repainting, but like the slightly darker look in your pics.... thanks. Mike

Not silver pearl, but similar and richer.

From the PPG Ferrari catalog 704C titanio grigio metallic, 37032 and 703C,97, canna di fucile metallic.

At the Monterey Historics, I saw a MB and a Aston Martin both silver, and parked side by side. Now MB is a luxury grade paint, but there was NO comparison with the Aston, which looked like it had been painted with diamonds. SO.....for a NON stock color, I would call them. For a STOCK color, there is only ONE....that is Sebring Silver from 1963

I love Silver Pearl with a clear coat. This picture shows the car when the paint was 28 years old!
