Delco Remy distributor found!
I recently discovered that the distributor resting among the boxes of parts I recieved with my 1969 convertible is in fact from a 1967 300 h.p. powerglide corvette. The number on the tag reads 1111117. It is a tach drive unit, but not correct for my car so I don't see a need to hold on to it. My question is this, what should I do with it? If I sell it, how much is it worth? It looks like it was stored indoors, a little surface rust but overall in decent shape. I can post some pictures if anyone thinks it would be of any help.

Delco 1111117 is a tach drive distributor for 327- 300 engine w. California A.I.R. emission control. The tag indicates its a Aug 9, 1965 assembly. Tach drive distributors are getting about $100- $150 on Ebay depending on condition.

Thank you so much Donald! I am considering putting it in the C1 &C2 parts for sale section. I would let it go for cheap to a forum member who truely needs this part.

Here are a few photos I just took:
Any ideas what the value may be if I sell it here? I have seen similar distributors on ebay for the price indicated by Donald #31176 (around $150).

Functionally, if that distributor is a '66 California AIR distributor, it's fairly rare but the advance curve is not at all conducive to good performance.
Someone though, may value it highly.

ok so i'm a bit confused here (not at all difficult to accomplish). According to the Corvette Restoration Guide, 1963-1967 by Richard Newton, Distributor number 1111117 is for a 1967 327-300 car. The Date Code is 1965. Can anyone give some useful insight as to what I have here? If I sell ti, I surely don't want to missrepresent what I have. Thanks!

probably a service dated part. The 5 H 9 could also be August 9th 1975.On top of that according to the facts book Corvette by the Numbers by Alvin Colvin "some sources state that distributor #1111117 applied to the 327/300HP Powerglide Transmission. This has not been verified today." You have to remember that these were made for service parts as well as what came on the car from the factory. The service parts will have the same part# but the date that it was actually made.

"I don't see where it's worth any more than that. You can buy repop tags and make any distributor anything you want, visually.

Here is a guy that has a 1111117 distributor. I hope you have more fun than he did. You can read the whole thread but pay attention, starting with my remarks on post #24.
