Generator #1102828 - Anyone know what it is??
I had a generator on my 1958...part number 1102828. I know its not right just from the bushings (doesn't have the large mounting holes).
It has a tachdrive shaft & gear on the back and the actual tach drive.
I'll be dang if I can find anything on this. It is a Delco Remy unit with the riveted BLACK tag on it that looks like this....

So, I'm assuming it's off a 1957 (built November 9th). But off 1957 what?? BTW...it is 12 volts.
Anyone care to solve the mystery?

Yes...I understand its not off a corvette. As I mentioned, I can't find ANYTHING that its off of. I can't even find the Delco Part number!
At this point, its one big mystery as to what its for.

It may have come off an old tractor or other piece of heavy equipment:
