Appreciate that Rich....and I haven't forgotten you are only a short drive away - so look out!

My tracks appear to be OK (not great) and operate fine therefore (fingers crossed) so far, so good..

I hate to ask what about the other side?

It is a pain to get the springs replace on the pulls. I had a tough time replacing the springs for the pulls. Plus the stops can be fun to work with.

Default Great writeup!

Actually, solid axle drivers need only two seat positions:
1- all the way forward: The altitude challenged people (Frank, Plasticman)
2-all the way back: Everybody else, aka normal people.

It's when cars get driven by other people is when you need the smooth working tracks. All too often it takes significant leverage to make it happen. I didn't even know there were rollers in there. Looks like a great project.

Tom,

Don't consider 5'10" to be altitude challenged. And my seat is all the way to the rear............

In fact, I thought you were shorter than me.

John

I got my seat tracks Cad. plated first, looks great and the rollers turn easier. There is a guy in Montreal that quiet resonable

I apologize. So I guess the #1 category is "shorter" and the #2 category is "longer".

JP, I edited the OP, which seemed ok, but after I edited, it BROKE! Links are flakey for some reason. Had to re-edit and fix the parsed link problem again.

See the original post, I added a preview link to get you there via 2 clicks.

James,

I'm planning to do the 2 outer tracks soon and am planning to add that procedure to the website. Yes the springs certainly are tough.

I guess its better than being horizontally challenged.....everybody knows I'm talking about waistlines ? Right ?

Default I'll try at home.

Rich,

Neither link is working for me. Maybe my work connection is flakey, I'll try at home.

I'm looking forward to seeing your write-up and thanks for sharing it with all of us.
