66 ignition switch

66 ignition switch
I bought a new, correct switch from LI corvettes, and a new ign cylinder from Zip. The cyl has two tabs at the case but the switch doesnt have any cut-outs to except the tabs. there is no way that i can see the cylinder fully seating in the switch. any ideas?

Maybe you need to return one or the other, then get both from the same source. Also ask about the two being matched together.
