2461 & 2461-X Heads, whats the difference
What is the difference in the 2461 and 2461-X heads,
Are the FI heads different from carburetor heads
How do you decode month dates E,F,G, etc, which is what months.

Anyway, just to add to that, is the date coding letters for the heads the same as build dates, such as E for Jan, etc?

I checked my Noland Adam's 63-67 complete restoration guide, and it appears that A=January for a head. At least on the page I was reviewing in the 63 model year.

Their real relevance lies in maximum performance within the confines of a stock, period correct appearance.Add 2.02-1.60 valves and they do quite well.

Casting date codes are always "A" = January, "B" = February, etc.

Now assuming to be correct, if you have a 64 with E20 build date, I would think that the heads would be weeks to maybe a month prior. For example would they be something like A-8-4, month day year? January 8,1964, Did they build these heads for 12 months, say Dec would be a 12?
