stock pump or cast water pump original style ,last year I replaced a bad edelbrock water pump , aluminum .that engine ran same temps with a replacment cast iron pump, now new motor time ! does anyone fell that the after market pumps are any better coolling wise?

No, and your OE pump fits your Vette perfectly where the aftermarket pumps are universal 327/350 and not quite the same physically

If you read the overheating threads you'll find a lot of opinions on the matter. I've used both and didn't really see much difference either way.
