Default 66 BB, would you know the length on this captive belt ?

For a 66 bb, I would like to know if anybody knows the length of the belt that is closest to the block, it runs the wtr pmp and crank, no adjustment. The car has ps...thats it. Both pulleys are 2 groove. Lower pulley is 6 and 3/4 and the wp pulley is 7 inches wide. I believe all the pulleys are correct. Got the 2 other belts after many trips to the FLAPS, cant nail this one down though. Thank you in advance.

My car doesn't have power steering but I don't think that makes any difference. Here are the numbers off of my belt.

GM9433722 FC 440 X 35.000 DAYCO 42-3529

Just use the DAYCO number and either cross reference or find a LAPS that sells DAYCO.

Hope this helps.

The Corvette Parts Book calls for GM part # 3837810, at 3/8" x 34 3/8". This is the belt that runs from the water pump pulley to the crank pulley, in the groove closest to the block.

The water pump pulley looks different than the one we have. Our's is more of a taper from the fan mounting flange to the pulley grooves, as opposed to the more flat section you have. Though, if both pulleys are the same diameter, should not be an issue. We do not have power steering, so maybe that has something to do with it, not sure.

I found it easier to put the belt in the water pump pulley groove as the pulley was being installed. As opposed to trying to get the belt on with the pulley in place.

Hey thanks, yes I know the pulley you have, its probably the one sitting on my garage floor that I took off prior to adding the pwr strg. Thats how I got this belt on, with the wp pulley off.... still a lil struggle but it finally popped into position.
