Default 62 AFB jetting for 300 hp/340

where the AFB`s 3269s carb`s jetted the same , for 300 HP and 340HP 327 motors i have just built a stock bore 327 and am running 291 double hump heads and a 151 447/447 L 79 cam . my main question is would this very stock AFB carb lean out with the camshaft combination ? I will be using the steel 300 hp intake .

This thread may help, although it doesn't directly answer your questions

After I finish eating, I'll check the ST-12 to see if the carb was the same for the 2 engine ratings. I wasn't thinking the 300 horse used the 3269S.

My ST-12 shop manual shows only one set of metering rod/jet numbers for the 3269S, and it appears at first blush that the carb was used on the 300 horse as well as the 340.

ST-12 lists stock metering rods as .069" x .060"
Stock primary jets as .104"
Stock secondary jets as .068"

But of course see my other thread for a reference to updates (which aren't specified) to those dimensions later in 62.
