I am 99% sure that you need a 1119001 (30 amp regulator) to be correct for your car. A 1119002 is a 35 amp regulator, which "may" have been used on 58 290 hp cars. It was most likely used in passenger cars with air conditioning.
Date code shoud be real close to your vehicle build date.
My 56, VIN 2117, built April 24 has a 6C (March 56) voltage regulator
on it.

regulator that one is one of the rarest that was used in 61-62 Corvettes. An 002E as a core goes for about $500.

You need a 9001, not a 9000.
Looks like you have a 9002 dated 7K (Nov 57).
Don't let go of the 9002. It is remotely possible that it is original to your car. I don't think so, but the
date code is just about perfect, and 9002 voltage regulators MAY have been used on 290 hp cars. Maybe they "MAY" also have been used on 270 hp cars.
Keep an eye on ebay, thery show up occassionally. Good luck.
