Doing some prep work on a 1965 C2 headlight bezel, upper corners. I noticed the steel bezels are protruding beyond the aluminum cover corners, on either side when the headlights are in a closed position. Just wondering if this is a common occurrence and what’s the best resolution? Was thinking about adding a weld to the inside of either corner on the steel bezel and then just grind off the outer edges to match the aluminum cover.

Considering that you must have your motors disconnected to allow the doors to swing in that direction, I think that is exaggerating the two parts. In your pics where the doors are closed, I think they look good. Also keep in mind that both parts should be painted the same body color, so that will help disguise what you are seeing.

The headlight buckets don't open in that direction thus the 2nd and 4th photo you show never occurs in normal operation
